Governors' Camp is a classic tented camp on the Mara River in the Masai Mara. The camp's own website describes 25 tents: 16 classic safari tents, eight family tents and one suite (older listings quote 30 or 37 tents). Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water and a private verandah, some facing the river and some the plains, and five classic tents have wheelchair ramps.
There is a bar tent with a deck over the Mara River, a dining tent with views across the plains, a spa tent, a souvenir shop and Wi-Fi throughout. Up to three game drives run daily, and hot-air balloon trips can be booked in advance. The camp holds a Gold rating from Eco-Tourism Kenya. A separate exclusive-use private camp of eight tents is also available for groups of up to 16.
