Fairmont The Norfolk opened in 1904 and is one of the oldest hotels in Nairobi, known for its Tudor-style buildings and garden courtyards. Guests over the years have included Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. It was fully renovated for its centenary in 2004 and today offers about 170 rooms and suites, with flat-screen TVs, marble bathrooms and garden views, and suites with a separate sitting area and in some cases a furnished terrace.

The historic Lord Delamere Terrace is the hotel's best-known restaurant, alongside the Cin Cin bar, the Tatu steakhouse and a poolside restaurant. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool, the Pambo Spa, a fitness centre, sauna and steam room, a business centre and a gift shop. It suits business stays and travellers who want a classic Nairobi address close to the city centre.
