About this hotel

Giraffe Manor is a boutique hotel in a 1930s manor house in the Langata suburb of Nairobi, owned and run by The Safari Collection. Its best-known feature is its resident herd of Rothschild's giraffes, which often reach through the dining room windows during breakfast and come close at afternoon tea on the terrace.

The estate covers about 12 acres of private land set within around 140 acres of indigenous forest. There are about 12 rooms across the original house and the newer garden manor, including two family suites, and the original house rooms have four-poster beds. Stays are full board, and reported inclusions are meals, a selection of house drinks, laundry, entry to the AFEW Giraffe Centre and transfers around the Karen and Langata area. Rooms sell out well in advance, so book early.
