Tortilis Camp sits on the private Kitirua concession just outside Amboseli National Park, and is best known for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which the open-fronted dining area looks straight at on clear days. Most sources describe 16 standard tents plus a family tent and a private house (one lists 17 tents), each with an en-suite bathroom and a veranda. The family tent and private house have two en-suite bedrooms, and the house also has a sitting and dining area.
The camp has a swimming pool, a bar and lounge, a fire pit and spa treatments, and runs game drives into Amboseli, famous for its large elephant herds, plus guided walks. It is open all year, runs on solar power and is about 45 minutes by road from the Amboseli airstrip.
